Dear Astronomer,

The International Year of Astronomy (IYA) starts soon ...

"How Many Stars Can We Still See?" is a state-of-the-worlds night-skies campaign that calls people to look at their skies and determine artificial night-sky-brightening by a simple naked eye observations via

We need your help to translate the pages via the on-line supported translation tools.

So get into the mood with the IYA-trailer http://astronomy2009.org/ Audio-volume up!

Then please contact me (phone /55) for details if you can

translate to your language from the English template.

How Many Stars ...? is an IYA-campaign of TLS and the Verein Kuffner-Sternwarte in the framework of the IYA-dark skies awareness cornerstone. See the brochure at http://starlit.astronomy2009.at/DSA_Brochure_2.pd for 10MB of colourful details.

Important note: Its cool this year to submit papers after Christmas - 2009 is the year of astronomy - and editors drown in papers before Christmas anyway.

Thanks and Best Regards

Günther
