The Lightmeter is a low cost instrument for global continuous monitoring of artificial night sky brightening (light pollution). The first version was developed for the International Year of Astronomy 2009.

24. Nov.: Upper Austria's Light Monitoring Network has now completed its first year at two stations. More information on the nicely documented network of currently 23 SQM-stations with online-data access: Light Measurement Network of Upper Austria.
