How many stars can we still see?: Simple naked eye sightings of the Little Dipper or Orion serve to determine the quality of the world's night skies.

Lightmeter: A network of newly-developed, low-cost lightmeters starts the global continuous monitoring of artificial night sky brightening (light pollution). Previously know as Luxmeter

40 days of measurements at Tautenburg; non-stop from 26th Sept. to 7th Nov. 2008.
